Collaboration and performances with artist Paul Lorenz

I’m delighted to have collaborated with artist/architect Paul Lorenz.

Paul has been investigating on creating musical compositions based on art, design and architecture. I have met Paul during his 3-week residency at my dear friends, artists and curators Louise Sayarer and Eva Vikstrom at

I believe we managed to materialise his concepts and translated his composition from paper into sounds pieces. The process in the studio was interesting as we were layered each instrument of the pieces and created the composition. I am very intrigued in this unique approach of creating music and I am looking forward to work with Paul again in the near future.

The compositions are created and based on the Heygate Estates in London and were performed at the Hackney Wicked Festival and at the gardens of The Heygate Estates.

I felt that it was the day to do something new and started to work with oil paint on canvas, which was in my room for some time.

I had to re-train my frame of mind and hands co-ordination, to let go and go with the flow and not plan ahead on each stroke. Not knowing where the stroke can go and what shape it will form. Each brush stroke is very interesting, the tiniest dab of the brush can lead wipe a form away or flow into something beautiful. I have mix feelings about oil paint, I appreciate that the paint takes time to dry but this is also a pain.

It’s fluid and flows. I like it and to be continued…

Here Now

I’m excited to be a part of a project called HERE NOW by Exit Map of Laura Doehler.

Exploring notions of impermanence and the nature of change, HERE NOW will be a week-long work of live, interdisciplinary improvisation, featuring 8 artists from various genres including live art, theatre, dance, visual arts and music.

Over the course of five days, these artists will inhabit a space, collaborating for 8 hours per day to create an immersive experience that challenges the traditional performer-spectator roles and allows the audience to observe and directly influence the live creative act.

Currently compiling material for upcoming releases and putting together the artwork. Most of the front covers are done, next step the back cover and the inner sleeves. I’m planning for a digital release and would like to have a physical release… vinyl!
